Your daily dose of something sweet.

Upper East Side institution William Greenberg Desserts, which sells a wide variety of gluten-rich bread, pastry and baked goods, quietly launched a gluten-free line last year, and it has some solid offerings.
An impressively chocolatey Gluten-Free Brownie ($4.50) is fudgy and quite sweet, an old fashioned crowd pleaser that successfully mimics a classic brownie's texture. (Those seeking a more modern brownie should look elsewhere.)

Like its brownie cousin, the Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4.50) mimics its namesake's chewy texture, though it's slightly more brittle. Still, it's above average with big semi-sweet chocolate chips separating it from the pack.
Both items are available at the Madison Avenue location every day. If you plan to visit the Plaza Food Hall location, call ahead to confirm availability.
