What goes into running Gramercy Tavern, Danny Meyer's farm to table fine dining spot? As chef Michael Anthony puts it, "a great restaurant is this combination of technical excellence and a lot of emotion."
The Gramercy Tavern cookbook comes out at the end of this month, and in advance the restaurant has released a promo video showing a little of what goes on in running the restaurant.
It begins with a trip to the Union Square Greenmarket, just a few blocks away, where Anthony tries to get as much produce for the kitchen as possible. From there we see pre-lunch prep in the dining room and the small army of kitchen staff who come together to make the restaurant's beautiful, seasonal food. Take a peek at the video below for more.
