Your daily dose of something sweet.

Ample Hills Creamery in Brooklyn is home to some of the city's best homemade ice cream, sundaes, and milkshakes. How could it get any better?

Cinnamon Toast soft serve.

SOFT SERVE. YES. Last Saturday Ample Hills unveiled their new soft serve, made from scratch in the shop just like their ice cream. Flavors will rotate every other week or so. Right now you can get Boubon, Straight Up flavored with vanilla bean and Maker's Mark, and Cinnamon Toast flavored with...well, cinnamon and toast, along with butter. Toast is soaked in the base and strained out before soft serve-ification. You can't go wrong with either flavor, and the soft serve is far, far creamier and dairy-splosive than your average soft serve. Get a generous single portion for $4.35 or a kids' portion for $2.75.

As much as I love Ample Hills' ice cream, I may be sticking to soft serve from now on. I already know what I want for my next visit: soft serve brownie sundae.
