After a meal at Cookshop on a particularly sunny day, it seemed appropriate to order the seasonal citrus saladdessert featuring grapefruit, blood oranges, tangerines, pressed yogurt and champagne-honey granite ($8).
Each fruity component on the plate was especially ripe: the blood orange was not only a deep, dark red color, but also sugary-sweet. The champagne granite has an unusual flavor that's a bit on the sour side that balances out all the sweetness.
And don't forget about Cookshop's weekday morning coffee bar that features excellent savory and sweet baked goods (8 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily).
