Momofuku Ko turned five this year, and to celebrate David Chang and his crew brought back some of the classic dishes from years gone by for a limited two night engagement. The ten course menu featured classic dishes from the restaurant's history and cost $85—the 2008 price (the current menu costs $125). There was another rollback: the notorious photography ban was temporarily lifted, allowing us to bring you some of the fabled dishes, many not seen in the wild in quite some time!
I had the pleasure of dining with my friend the Food Doc, who I first met at Ko on christmas day back in 2008. He has eaten at Ko over sixty times, at least once a month since they opened! I haven't eaten there quite as many times (about once a year as it happens) but I certainly remember, and fondly, the dishes served during our meal.
Take a stroll down memory lane with the slideshow.
