Cochon 555, the traveling celebration of heritage pork, hits New York on February 10th, and with a lineup of chefs Missy Robbins, Shana Pacifico, Alex Guarnashelli, Leah Cohen, and Elizabeth Falkner, tickets are moving fast. But we're giving away two VIP spots to the event right here.
Come the 10th, those five chefs will compete to cook up a nose to tail heritage pig meal for 400 guests and 20 judges, and should you go, you get to help decide the winner. Right before the award ceremony, an additional pit-smoked heritage pig will be served up for all guests. For VIP ticket holders, the event also includes a brand new cocktail competition, fresh oysters and tartar, and plenty more ways for you to get your food and drink on.
The Cochon tour—which also hits San Franciso, Boston, Chicago, and six other cities—began five years ago as a way to educate eaters about the value of heritage breed pigs. Some tickets are still available: $125 for general admission, $200 for VIP, all-inclusive pricing.
To enter our giveaway, tell us about your favorite pork dish in New York in the comments below. We'll select a winner at random on Wednesday, February 6th, at 5 p.m. The standard Serious Eats contest rules apply.
