Monkey Bread ($3) at Du Jour Bakery in Park Slope comes in individual portions, baked in cupcake liners. The tops are all golden with a caramelized crust, and the scent of cinnamon is bold. Each bite is sweet and fluffy, easy to love.
This bread isn't as buttery and sticky as the traditional sort of monkey bread, the kind with oozy caramel binding it together. But this is right in its own way, a restrained version that you could easily call breakfast with no guilt.
