Though I'd recommend the chicken shawarma to first-time visitors at Duzan, the ground lamb Kafta pita ($5.75) is definitely worth an order for those whose tastes veer more towards red meat. Where the chicken is bright with coriander, the lamb is deeply charred on the grill. It's warming, cumin-heavy, and juicy enough to keep you coming back for more. Add in Duzan's fresh, poofy pita—some of the best in the borough—and you have the makings of a fine lamb-y lunch indeed.
