Caputo's Fine Foods
Caputo's has been a resident of Court Street for thirty-nine years.
This pasta machine, used for making ravioli and agnolotti, can make up to 120 pounds of pasta in an hour.
Lots and lots and lots of homemade pasta.
Whole wheat pasta
Frank doesn't stop at traditional egg pasta. He makes whole wheat and spinach pasta as well.
Stuffed pasta in the freezer
At Caputo's, a great deal of space is given over to the freezer, where Frank stocks fresh stuffed pastas. A special for the fall is pumpkin ravioli.
A respectable (and delicious!) olive bar.
Caputo's gets par-baked loaves from an Italian spot in Jersey, and finishes them fresh as needed. The semolina loaf is a particular favorite.
Truffles and treats
Among the expected offerings at Caputo's you'll find some special treats, like white truffle olive oil.
For the antipasto
Frank and co. make all the prepared foods in house, including these stuffed peppers.
Although Frank and co. don't bake things specially for the holidays, they do stock a few extra goodies in November and December, including this sweet yeast bread, the cousin to panettone.
You know you're in a real Italian spot when the Nutella comes in collectable glasses printed with the latest Italian cartoon craze.
Caputo's sells fresh coffee beans by weight—as well as moka stove top espresso machines—for your post-meal caffè.
