Sugar Rush: Roberta's Sticky Buns at Toby's Estate
Your daily dose of something sweet.

The bakery case at Toby's Estate offers a plethora of pastries from different vendors around town—think caneles from Balthazar, lamingtons from Van Leeuwen, and cookies from Ovenly. My favorite? Sticky buns ($3) from Roberta's. They're just big enough to satisfy a craving but not leave you stuffed or suffering a sugar high. Made from brioche dough, the buns are plush all the way though (even the outermost coil!) and drenched in a Maldon salt-kissed caramel. Butter, caramel, salt...all the good things in life. Just be careful of the crunchy bits around the bottom—those crisp caramel shards could easily break a tooth.
