Chefs Gabrielle Hamilton, Sue Torres, Anita Lo, Amanda Freitag and Elizabeth Falkner
We sort of felt bad interrupting these chefs to grab a shot as they met up for a happy reunion. But how often do you get such talent in one place? The camaraderie amongst the chefs, staff and volunteers in their support for SHARE was in abundance.
Executive Chef Amanda Freitag
The event's Executive Chef Amanda Freitag chows down on a Peach and Goat Cheese Danish from Union Square Cafe. (Actually, she admitted that it was her second go at the pastry.)
"I'm so happy to contribute anything that I can to SHARE. I've had several family members who've been touched by breast and ovarian cancer so it's a big deal for me to support it. Everybody knows somebody who has been touched by these terrible diseases, and if they just need some support and want to make a phone call, SHARE is there."
Dorie Greenspan and Nancy Olson
Sous chef for the evening and cookbook author extraordinaire Dorie Greenspan and Gramercy Tavern's Chef Nancy Olson had nothing but love for the collective group of chefs at the event.
"Everything feels special about this," muses Greenspan. "I love being with so many talented women who are so committed to doing something good for other people. It just feels good to be here. And the food's fabulous!"
"It's my favorite event of the year, but this year feels special," pipes in Olson. "Because I love coming in and seeing so many amazing women, and so many I've looked up to throughout my career—I can't believe I have Dorie as my celebrity sous chef!—but this year there are two people that I had the privilege and the honor to mentor (Sunchar Raymond at Union Square Cafe and Alexandra Ray at North End Grill). So it feels like it's all coming full circle here. It's very cool."
Einat Admony's Seared White Fish
Einat Admony of Balaboosta and Taim paired seared white fish with feta and a spicy Moroccan Chrieme for a plate full of flavor and texture.
Chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli
The executive chef of the Darby and Butter popped out some incredibly flavorful Roasted Mushroom Flatbreads with Grilled Trevesiano.
April Bloomfield of The Spotted Pig, the Breslin and the John Dory layers butter on her Parker House rolls before filling them with smoked arctic char pate.
"This is a real great charity to do. Everyone is really chill and friendly. This is one of the charities I do every year, and it's such a pleasure to come back and help support them."

"You know, we wanted to make something simple and tasty. My chef Josh from the John Dory and I love to eat this. It's really smoky and crunchy." – Chef April Bloomfield of The Spotted Pig, The Breslin and The John Dory

"I think that the cause is so fundamentally important, so it's a gift to me to be able to be here. I don't give to this—I get back from this". - Rikki Kleiman, trial attorney / author / actress and Chef Einat's sous chef for the evening.
Sous chef / actress Maura Tierny and Chef Anita Lo
Chad Shaner and Sunchar Raymond of Union Square Cafe
Serving up a peach and goat cheese danish, the team from Union Square Cafe was all smiles and support. "It's such a privilege to be here with all these amazing celebrity female chefs. It's an amazing moment for me and a bunch of people here right now. I'm excited. This is an awesome day for me." – Sunchar Raymond
Donna Hanover, Chef Alexandra Ray and assistant
The North End Grill served up a Hazlenut and Plum Layer Cake, definitely one of the favorite sweets of the evening. We overheard one happy eater musing "I won't forget about THAT anytime soon."
Missy Robbins' Stracciatella with Preserved Tomatoes and Basil
Missy Robbins, executive chef of A Voce, recently started making stracciatella in house, and here the creamy cheese was paired with basil and preserved tomatoes for an incredibly balanced, sweet and savory dish that popped with layers of flavor in every bite.
Cindy Hsu with daughter Rosie and friend Ciara
"Every year it's amazing. This year I brought my daughter Rosie and her friend, Ciara, who are working very hard. It's great in so many ways—and also to teach kids to get involved very early."
Nancy Olson's Chocolate, Coconut and Pecan Cake
This sharply layered cake from Nancy Olson of Gramercy Tavern was stuffed with just enough pecan flavor, and came with a slightly crunchy top to balance the rich mousse.
Daniella Bodansky, Miriam Novalle and Hannah Nunbery of TSalon
The TSalon is a family affair—Hannah is an ovarian cancer survivor and part of the inspiration for sister Miriam's tea company. Their niece Daniella helps run the operation. They offered up hot and cold selections from their enormous collection, which can be bought online or sampled at the 5th avenue shop. After Hannah's diagnosis, Miriam started offering holistic healing blends.
