Porchetta has some excellent snappy Spicy Pickles on one of their sandwiches—honestly, it was our favorite part. So when we saw a sign on the counter that said Spicy Pickles $1, we couldn't just ignore it.
This is the kind of pickle I could get addicted to, and which makes a cooling, spicy snack for summer heat. Cut into bite size morsels so as not to overwhelm you, they're vinegary with a good deal of red pepper kick. For a buck, you get a decent amount of pickles. If you need something heartier, consider rounding out your pickle snack with some potato chips. Or keep them on hand for sandwiches at home.
