Sugar Rush: Sake Kasu Ice Cream at Yopparai
Your daily dose of something sweet.

Yopparai has two desserts options on the menu. The first is this Sake Kasu Ice Cream ($7), housemade from sake lees—the by-product of sake production—and it bears a texture that's like a cross between traditional ice cream and soft serve. It's silky but refreshing, with subtle rice and sake notes, but light on the finish.
Yopparai also offers a particularly fine Shave Ice ($6) topped with flavored sake—your pick from tangerine, plum, or yuzu. We prefer the latter for the bright and sweet-tart whip of yuzu in each spoonful.
