Meet Petrossian's Chocolate Miam ($3.50). Miam as in "miam-miam," the French saying for yummy. You'll hear it most commonly from children, but we'll have to make an exception here. The croissant dough is twirled in circles with melty dark chocolate chips distributed evenly from the center of the snail all the way to the outside. It's like a pain au chocolat reinvented so that every bite is rewarded with a kiss of chocolate chips. Petrossian's buttery dough is flakier that most (remember this pistachio croissant?) so bring plenty of napkins.
