Tips and tricks for making the best sandwiches at home.
I spent a good portion of my childhood fearing gorgonzola cheese, probably the result of watching one too many cartoons in which the characters encounter it while wearing gas masks. Now that I'm older and wiser, I know there's no cheese too stinky or runny to love. If you feel the same way, you'll love this portobello mushroom sandwich ($8.00) from Grounded. It features perfectly meaty grilled mushrooms on a crusty, powdery ciabatta. The creamy gorgonzola is sharp enough, but doesn't dominate the intense flavor of the mushrooms. There's some arugula thrown on for freshness, and it adds a nice spice to the whole enterprise.
