A Sandwich A Day: Chicken Sandwich at James
A new sandwich every day.
In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

When looking over a lunch menu, particularly one as full of unusual, delicious-sounding options as that of James in Prospect Heights, I don't usually go for the chicken sandwich. But the shredded poached chicken ($12) in this guy is absolutely blanketed in melted brie, and the two fuse into a salty, fatty core in which every morsel is totally saturated with cheese. The chicken's just there to add a little substance. If every chicken sandwich tasted like this, I'd have an awful lot more of them in my life.
