In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

After sampling the impressively over-the-top loaded tater tots known as the Wolf Attack at Lower East Side late-night snack joint Wolfnights, we felt it was our duty to follow up with some of their wrap sandwiches, prepared with housemade flatbreads.

We were intrigued by the description of the Carnivore's Delight ($8.95), which boasted meatballs, a sunny-side up egg, and sumac onions wrapped up in a delectable-sounding date and pumpkin seed flatbread. When we unwrapped our sandwich, we were disappointed to discover a plain white wrap in its place. But we did like the meatballs inside, which were a bit dense but nicely charred, and the egg, perfectly cooked with a soft yolk. When paired with a mustard horseradish sauce and a pickle (the latter not mentioned on the menu), this sandwich tasted remarkably like a Big Mac, albeit a classed-up one.
