Everything you need to know about eating and cooking with curds
Near the cash register at Murray's Cheese, a perfect spot for temptation, lies an assortment of candy bars custom made for Murray's by Tumbador Chocolate. They're all chocolate, marshmallow, cream, and cake-based confections, and my current obsession is the lovely Scooter Bar ($3.50). It starts with a devil's food cake base, a thin, tender, supremely rich layer. It's then topped with a pour of dark caramel, which binds together the cake and a fluffy vanilla marshmallow layer. The bar is finished with a thin, crackly shell of tempered dark chocolate. Trust me, this is not one you'll want to share.
