In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.
We were huge fans of Miss Lily's when it opened last year, and had a more-than-tasty jerk chicken sandwich and avocado-coconut juice at adjacent sandwich shop and juice bar Melvin's Juice Box. So we're back for more. Take juicy, slightly spicy white fish, put it on a soft squishy bun, and you've got a more than decent grilled fish sandwich ($10). The bun was just a teeny bit overwhelming; we wished we could've tasted the fish itself a bit more. But it's well-spiced, moist and flaky—a lunch we'll wholeheartedly approve of.
