What's a New Yorker to do when the craving for a Thin Mint or Samoa hits? It's hard to just track down a Girl Scout, and one's not too likely to knock on your apartment door. Happily for cookie lovers in the five boroughs, the Girl Scouts of Greater New York have announced the launch of four Cookie Pop-Up Shops, conveniently located in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Starting March 12 and running through May 3, they'll have all your favorite flavors available for $4 a box, including those Thin Mints and Samoas, plus Trefoils, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos and the 100th Anniversary Cookie, Savannah Smiles, which are lemon-flavored meltaways dusted with powdered sugar.
If you're on the go and want to find the nearest Cookie Pop-Up, the Girl Scouts have got you covered: they've released a "Cookie Locator" App. Check it out at cookielocator.littlebrownie.com, or download it for your iPhone or Android. Happy munching!
