I try not to play favorites when it comes to Sugar Rush, but ChikaLicious is an exception. The bakery has been around since 2007 yet they keep things fresh by always improving and constantly changing up the menu. Things only get better and better here. Remember when they came out with vanilla bean soft-serve? Shortly thereafter we devoured the affogato soft-serve, then the eclair soft-serve sandwich. The cookie sundae (as well as the strawberry shortcake sundae!) really put things over the top.
And just when I thought things couldn't possibly get better, they introduced the Red Velvet Sundae ($7.95). Incredible. That signature vanilla bean soft-serve is layered with whipped cream cheese frosting and chunks of red velvet cake. It's like they chopped up a red velvet cupcake (or two) and folded it into the soft-serve. Salted, toasted pistachios round everything out; a spoon and healthy appetite is all you need. Take note, they also do a streaked Peanut Butter Sundae ($6.95) with crunchy katafi and chocolate pearls. Yet another reason to return.
