New New York Times restaurant critic Pete Wells pops up on the Diner's Journal blog today to ask where he should review. (So many restaurants, so little stomach space; we sympathize!)
I'll venture a few. I think it's ludicrous that the ambitious, inventive Fedora got only a "recently opened"; in my books it's a two-star at least. I assume that the Monkey Bar is due for a re-review with a new all-star team. Perilla sure as hell deserves more than one star. And I think neighborhoods like Flushing and Jackson Heights deserve a whole lot more ink than they get.
What do you guys think? Are there places the Times needs to get to? Two-starred restaurants that should be four (or four-starred restaurants that should be two)? What needs a first look, or a second one? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
