At LIC Market, just steps off the 7 train at the first stop in Queens, Oatmeal Cookies are gigantic round saucers. They're slightly crunchy along the edges, but other than that, chewy all the way though with chubby little raisins and toasted oats. A homey cookie with a gentle sweetness thanks to brown sugar, it's the sort of snack you'd want to eat warm and pair with a glass of milk (though their housemade lemonade, tart with only bit of sugar, is great second bet). At $1.75 apiece they're bargains, tucked inside a glass cookie jar near the entrance of the market-restaurant.
