At Ciano, the Panna Cotta ($12) is supple and sultry, scented with vanilla beans, the tiny and fragrant dark specks scattered about. (The most heady spoonful is at the very bottom. Save that for yourself.) Grab a spoon and dig in. It's one of my favorite versions of panna cotta in the city, and for the rest of summer, it comes with a luxurious pour of fresh blueberry compote, whole berries popping in each bite. The crowning touch is a housemade black currant and fromage blanc sorbet, a perfect two-toned scoop contrasting a creamy pure white with tart dark purple. Both a sight and a taste to be savored.
