In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

Pre-made sandwiches are often unsatisfying, but the endive, pear and brie ($6.50) at Margo Patisserie Cafe holds up well. While the long, slim baguette is a little bit stiffer than we'd like, it holds an incredibly appealing core of soft brie, ripe pear, sharp endive, and a balsamic-honey spread for a little sweetness and flavor. A different baguette might improve the overall sandwich, but as-is, it's a satisfying slender lunch.
