At $2 each, cookies from ABC Kitchen may be one of the best finds from a restaurant where the food is great but the prices aren't quite friendly for everyday visits. Smoothies here are certainly worth a detour, but again, they come at a price. Drop by the ABC Home entrance to the cafe section of ABC Kitchen, and at the counter where you order smoothies, there will be cookies (along with muffins!) displayed under a glass dome. The cookies rotate from time to time but there are three favorites you can rely upon.
First is Mint-Chocolate, a flat and wide cookie with plenty of powdered sugar, a soft melt-in-your mouth treat. The mint element is bold, like a glamorous version of Thin Mint cookies crossed with After Eight chocolates. The Dark Chocolate-White Chocolate cookie features a chewy dark chocolate base and not chips, but tiny shards of white chocolate in every bite. If your heart is set on the chewy Oatmeal-Cherry with nearly equal parts sweet dried cherries and oatmeal, come early—that one sells out fast.
