It's no secret that we at Serious Eats love Baked in Red Hook (they won our search for the best cupcake in NYC in 2010). Since Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito opened Baked in 2005, they've been churning out baked goods tasty enough for the trek out to Red Hook.
In the four hours that I was there, Eric Wolitzky and his team had baked many trays of brownies and blondies, decorated dozens of cupcakes and made dozens of macaroons. Check the slideshow out for a peek into their kitchen.
