The James Beard Foundation will launch a one-of-a-kind pop-up called JBF LTD at Chelsea Market from April 12th to May 14th, bringing in celebrity chefs for unique dinner experiences and offering culinary demonstrations, tastings and book readings during the day.
The current dinner schedule includes:
- April 12th to April 16th: Three-Michelin star chef Laurent Gras, formerly of L2O in Chicago
- April 26: James Beard Foundation (JBF) Award winner Michelle Bernstein of Michy's and Sra. Martinez in Miami
- May 3rd to May 7th: Iñaki Aizpitarte, of Le Châteaubriand in Paris with JBF Award winner David Chang and Team Momofuku
- May 11th to May 14th: JFB Award winner David Kinch, chef-proprietor and John Paul Carmona, chef de cuisine, at Manresa in Los Gatos, Calif.
Starting April 1st, diners can buy tickets through JBF LTD. Tickets cost $75 each for a four-course, prix-fixe dinner on Tuesdays through Thursdays, and $100 each for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. A certain number of tickets will be sold exclusively at Gilt City, a website that provides luxury offers. Dinner reservations are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Sure to be sold out at night, event goers can still head to the pop-up from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays for special programming provided by the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. While a daytime schedule hasn't been revealed yet, expect to see appearances by TV chefs.
