In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

The Lamb 1.3 sandwich at tiny SoHo gem Snack is a fine lunch on a fine baguette, with a delicate crumb that slowly seeps up the juices from the lamb, softening into that perfect sop-up stew bread texture. The braised lamb, pulled and tender, does taste like it has simmered in stew all day, and the warmth of its spices lingers on the tongue afterwards with a slow sweet burn. There are a few roasted fruit-like tomatoes and softened onions to round out the lamb, and just the right amount of arugula to sharpen things up. If I can't have a sequel of this tomorrow, I'll be playing reruns in my head for a long time.
