At Blue Marble in Brooklyn, Root Beer Ice Cream isn't always available, but if you're lucky enough to spot that flavor on your visit, don't pass it up. The sassafras essence is unexpectedly bold, and the ice cream comes remarkably close to the taste of actual root beer, minus the fizz. Creamy and butter smooth, one scoop in a cone, and you have a perfect dessert. There's no excuse for passing on ice cream just because it's too cold outside.
