At Pure Thai Shophouse, there's only one dessert offered each day. The offering changes from time to time, but this Thai sweet of sticky rice with coconut milk ($6.50) is a frequent guest on the menu. Creamy yam custard is the focus here, a warm pudding of eggy sweet mouthfuls. With a finish of toasted sesame seeds, both rice and custard are wrapped tight in banana leaves and steamed to order. Large and rich enough for two to share.
