The availability of the dessert offerings at Rhong-Tiam Express is spotty, but what I've had has always been delicious. On one visit they were out of everything but one dessert, and one another visit, everything but that one dessert was available. You'd best call ahead of time to check and see if they have Sticky Rice and Banana ($6) in stock. And if they do, be sure to add it your agenda. The dessert is made by Pichet Ong and comes as a set of two, with sweet red beans and sliced bananas tucked tight into a warm cocoon of sticky mochi rice. Wrapped in fragrant banana leaves and steamed, a final pour of thick, rich coconut milk seals the deal. I couldn't think of a better way to close on a Thai takeout meal.
