A Sandwich A Day: Meatballs at Dickson's Farmstand Meats
A new sandwich every day.
In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

The Meatball Sandwich ($10) at Dickson's Farmstand is close to slider-size, especially when compared to its lumbering hoagie cousins from Little Italy. At Chelsea Market, my server ladled out three tender, perfect meatballs, and laid them out on half a loaf that is sized to cradle them. There are slivered green onions on top and a mild lemon ricotta spread underneath, and the meatballs are wonderful, but there are far too few of them. Two's company, three's company—eight may be a crowd, but I'd like to try it first and get back to you.
