Market Scene: Union Square Greenmarket
Snapshots from the farmers market.
Summer's grace period is officially over—the fall is in full swing at the market, and even my skills of denial are powerless against the approaching winter. The last of the tomatoes are hanging on by a thread, the market smells of hot cider, and Ronnybrook is already selling eggnog. It's not all bad news, though, as there's still a ton of beautiful seasonal produce. Apples, brussels sprouts, potatoes, Jerusalem artichokes, turnips, dried beans, adorable turnips and more in this week's slideshow.
