When I first saw the Nice Chicken Meatball Sandwich ($11, the "nice" is their title, not our description) on the lunch menu at Penelope, I couldn't help but imagine the sight of a jolly chicken meatball gently hugging my tastebuds. Unfortunately, this sandwich may be a little less friendly to your arteries. The meatballs are draped in oozing fontina and doused with pesto mayonnaise—a tasty combination, but possibly too much of a good thing. The delicate flavor of the meatballs gets a bit lost in a sea of saturated fats, and a pale tomato doesn't add much in the taste department.
