Who doesn't love french fries? We've long been looking for New York's best, and decided that the city's fries deserved more than a post—they needed a column of their own. Here's TGI Fry-Day, your weekly dose of deliciousness. Got a nomination? Let us know. —The Mgmt.
Bouley Studio just opened up Tribeca this week—a replacement for the now-closed Bouley Bakery & Market, with a significantly smaller menu selection. They have, however, added burgers to order on the menu, along with fries. Three options, with prices ranging from $4-5 for a gigantic serving. Plain fries, Tuscan Fries (rosemary and garlic) and Truffle Fries. The Truffle Fries come tossed in chopped parsley and plenty of Parmesan, the truffle was an afterthought, contributing more smell than taste. The fries themselves? Skinny, golden and crisp—though some a bit limper than others. Worth a revisit in a few weeks.
