Fried Catfish? Yes please. Flaky and tender, the fish in the catfish sandwich at Baoguette ($7) is cooked extremely well. It's light and pairs beautifully with the cucumber relish and honey mustard, none of which overwhelm the fish itself; the airy bread crackles as you bite into the sandwich. However, the sandwch does start to get a little mushy as you keep eating. There's no crunch of pickled carrots in this one, and since the fish is only softly fried, its crust is not particularly crispy. Still, you can't go wrong with this sandwich if you like the classic fresh flavors of Vietnamese food, as the sandwich as a whole melds beautifully.
