We've never done this before, but SE overlord Ed Levine thought it'd be a good idea and we all agreed. Invite one of our serious eatin' readers (who will be in New York City tomorrow morning—that is pretty key) to our chocolate chip cookie taste test.
What's the deal? We're trying to find the best chocolate chips for home baking, so Kumiko Mitarai baked ten batches of her killer cookies with ten different brands. Everything from the classic grocery store stuff (Nestle, Hershey's) to fancier chips we had to mail-order (See's Candies, Scharffen Berger, Callebaut).
Leave a comment here to enter, and we'll pick a winner tonight at 6 p.m. ET Our office is in Chelsea, and the tasting will start at 11 a.m. So only enter if you can make it!
Just tell us your favorite kind of cookie to bake. No preferential treatment will be given to those who actually name chocolate chip cookies. We're picking the winner at random.
And, we won't forget the milk!
