It's been particularly warm these past few days, an ideal excuse to tuck away ice creams, cold drinks and sweets in the afternoon. Over on Greenwich Avenue in the West Village, Satay Junction offers their Es Teler ($3) for to-go orders. Their version combines a well-proportioned mix of jackfruit, young coconut meat, and cubes of grass jelly in a coconut juice and milk bath. Both straw and spoon required for this affair, perhaps a seat on a neighboring bench as well. Bring on the spring weather!
