One dessert on the menu at Baohaus on the Lower East Side: Sweet Bao Fries ($3.50). The same bao dough employed for their savory buns is sliced and deep-fried to a golden crisp. These dessert "fries" are topped with a thick toasty black sesame sauce akin to a reduced black sesame soup. The only issue we've had is consistency, when it comes to the thickness of the fries—super thin-cut on one occasion, and substantially thicker on the another.
