Remember Monday's post on the Singapore Chow Mein at Great NY Noodletown? Well, I returned, as promised, and goodness—the Singapore Chow Funn ($6.75) is a thousand times better. As noted in this Chowhound thread, Singapore Mai Funn is very easy to find all over Chinatown. Singapore Chow Funn is comparatively rare. And even rarer is to find it done well, like this—not too greasy, nor under-oiled. Hearty, spicy and laced with char siu, shrimp, bell peppers, egg, and green onion. And the chow funn also incorporated sliced chili peppers for extra kick of heat.
For the same price, I'd side with the chow funn, ridiculously satisfying during these cold months.
