Candy cane cookies have already made their way into the holiday line-up at Momofuku Milk Bar, and soft-serve flavors of gingersnap, candy cane, sugar cookie, candy cane, and orange clove will be debuting later this week. But for now, enjoy the cake of the moment. I've worn my taste buds though the chocolate malt and banana cake slices, and now it's the carrot cake I call my staple. A cheesecake filling with milk crumbs, and streusel buttercream between the layers of carrot cake, all with a healthy serving of grated carrots, make this easy to love. My only request is for a handful of toasted walnut chunks mixed into the cake batter—a bit of textural interest would make this a ton more fun.
