'Eating for a Marathon: Energy for Endurance Athletes' at Whole Foods Bowery
Monday, September 21, 7 to 8:30 p.m., $15 Elizabeth Stein of Appetite for Healthy Living will demonstrate the best foods for athletic performance, and specifically, what to eat before, during, and after running. She'll show you how to whip up "Energy Pudding" and black bean quinoa salad.

Tuesday, September 22, 6 to 10 p.m., $125 Add Basque cooking to your repetoire with the class taught by the chefs at Txikito. The signature dishes feature lamb and seafood just as much as beans and peppers, and are made up of simply cooked ingredients, to boot. On the menu: piquillos (peppers) two ways, arroz con chirlas (simple rice with parsley and clams), trucha a la navarra (trout with Serrano ham and crispy garlic vinaigrette), pastel de almendras (traditional almond cake), and more.
