Big Apple Barbecue Block Party
Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The country's best barbecue will represent at the 7th Annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party. 30th New York Mississippi Central Park Picnic
Saturday, June 13, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy the taste of Mississippi, including Southern fried catfish, hushpuppies, and icy cold sweet tea. For those with a competitive streak, enter the "Best Picnic Spread" and "Best Dessert" contests. Featuring art, music, games, and good ol' Mississippi family fun. New York City Food Film Festival

Brooklyn Bridge Flea
Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Brooklyn Flea will open its second outdoor market, the Brooklyn Bridge Flea, starting this Sunday. (The Fort Greene Flea continues on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Featuring Stumptown Coffee and Flea foodie faves like McClure's Pickles, Blue Marble Ice Cream, People's Pops.
