Sikh Day Parade
Saturday, April 25, 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Celebrate Vaisakhi, the ancient harvest festival in Punjab, with 50,000 brightly turbaned Sikhs parading down Broadway. Palmer Vineyards winemaker Miguel Martin is teaming with chef Bryan Naylor at OSO at the Southampton Inn for an impressive, 8-course tasting menu. Organized around particular local ingredients: cheese (Catapano Farm goat ricotta with Long Island duck prosciutto and a Cabernet Franc reduction), potatoes (pureed in a croquette with caviar and chive oil, paired with Palmer sparkling wine), scallop (seared Peconic Bay scallop with corn emulsion, and bacon drippings paired with the 2007 Palmer chardonnay reserve), in addition to a striped bass course, lobster course, striped bass course, beef course, and dessert of cheesecake augmented with Wickham’s Farm strawberry broth.
