Cask Ale Festival
Thursday, April 11 to Sunday, April 12 It's National Cask Ale Week in the U.K., and The Gate, the Park Slope watering hole, is celebrating from across the pond. Featuring ten rare casks from both Britain and the U.S., the pay-as-you-go event runs through Sunday (or until the beer taps out). On Saturday at 2 p.m., take part in an attempt to make the Guinness Book of Records for the world’s largest toast. Free admission. NYC's First CupcakeCamp
Friday, April 10, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m Founded in San Francisco, CupcakeCamp has become a sorta international phenomenon with chapters in Philly, Sydney, Belfast, Toronto, Wellington. Now we're special enough to have one too. Basically it involves free cupcakes from Billy's, Magnolia, and everyday bakers (vegan ones too)—no strings attached. Stop by, why not? Easter Egg Hunt and Buffet
Sunday, April 12, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bring the kids out for a Southampton egg hunt, live jazz, and a farmhouse family buffet. Second Annual Taste of Southeast Asia
Thursday, April 16, 7 to 10 p.m. Celebrate the Theravada Buddhist New Year and sample Southeast Asian specialties from Chefs Simpson Wong (Café Asean), Chris Johnson (Bao Noodles), and Petom Kochawattana (Open the Sesame).
