New York City-based restaurateur Danny Meyer (of Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Eleven Madison Park, Shake Shack, and more), known for being an expert in hospitality, has been through four recessions since starting in 1985 and has yet to have to close any of his restaurants.
