Last night we checked out the first ever Village Voice's Choice Streets at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Complex. If you're familiar with Choice Eats, it's pretty much the same format. Though instead of restaurants, Choice Streets is all about street food. 20 food trucks, ranging from veterans like Solber Pupusas to the newest kid on the block, Chinese Mirch, were gathered in one spot to offer the hungry crowd their best treats. It was another delicious, gut-busting night at the Village Voice's 5th Annual Choice Eats. As in the past few years, the 69th Armory building was packed with hungry eaters sampling as many bites as possible from about 91 New York City restaurants. More

It's hard to imagine the number of vendors under one roof at Village Voice's Choice Eats 2011; over 90 different restaurants and food purveyors were offering some of their best bites to the sold-out event. (I saw people running as they entered and people juggling few plates at one time.) But it's painful to hop from table to table—both in terms of the amount of food you consume, and in the sadness of leaving one excellent stop behind to hop to the next. More
