It's the bits of chocolate stout cake (baked by Ovenly!) that makes this Brooklyn Blackout ice cream stand out.

Steve's Ice Cream specializes in "craft" ice cream with complex flavors like Blackberry Honey and Bourbon Vanilla, built on dairy from Hudson Valley Fresh—a perfect solution for when Breyer's and Häagen Dazs simply aren't cutting it.
Opened back in 1973 in Somerville, Massachusetts by Steve Herrell, Steve's Ice Cream created the concept of mix-in, where customers can mix in any fruit or candy or cookie into their ice cream. The business eventually closed in 1994 but was revived in late 2010 by a former employee, David Stein. They're already selling retail, and they're soon to open stores in New York's Boerum Hill and Midtown; take a peek inside their test kitchen here!
