Brooklyn Fare Expanding to Much Bigger Grocery Store Space

Brooklyn Fare, the teeny but well-stocked Boerum Hill market with its nextdoor Michelin-two-star-rated chef's table, is tearing down some walls to open a much bigger space. A real grocery store! You can see the construction happening behind the deli section. Wider aisles and a bigger selection of products. It'll be nearly twice the size of the current space, said one cashier this morning.

A Sandwich a Day: Roast Beef Luger From Brooklyn Fare

Of the 20 or so sandwiches on the chalkboard menu, the Roast Beef Luger ($5.99 on a roll, $6.99 on the hero) was our favorite. They cut slices off their big slab of roast beef, add a slice of cheddar, bacon, and—this is where the Luger part comes in—smother it with Peter Luger's signature steak sauce.
